Jordan’s and John Leech MP launch Smartest Street competition, deadline extended

Houses on smarter streets are more likely to command higher rents, retain higher values, sell quicker and be nicer places to live! And we want to find the best street in south Manchester!

The South Manchester Reporter has teamed up with Manchester Withington MP John Leech and lettings agency Jordan's to launch our Smartest Street competition.

We want to know which are the area's most loved, best tended and well cared for streets. And if you tell us about yours you couid win £100 worth of M&S vouchers and you and all your neighbours get your house windows cleaned for two months.

William Jordan, managtng director of residentiallettings at Jordan's on Wilmslow Road in Fallowfleld, said: "This competition is celebrating well kept residential areas. If you want to improve the value of your property I advise forming a neighbourhood clean-up team."

To enter the competition residents should write around 100 words explaining why their street deserves to win. Entries can be e-malled to Rachael Richards on rachael@rmspr.co.uk or posted to RMS, My Buro, 20 Market Street, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 1PF and please mark your entry 'Jordan's competition'. Entrants should include a name, address and telephone number.

The competition has the backing of John Leech MP and will be judged by him and Homesmine editor Jill Burdett. We need to hear from you and the closing date for entries has been extended to Friday October 22.
